Mikki Sivuyile Macmillan Xayiya (48)
Executive Chairman

Mikki joined Mvelaserve as Executive Chairman on listing in November 2010. Previously he served the African National Congress in various capacities from 1977, including in 1995 as a Policy Adviser – Office of the Premier, Gauteng Provincial Government. On leaving public office he joined Mawenzi Asset Managers as managing director and was appointed executive chairman of Mvelaphanda Holdings in 2007.

 

Jorge Manuel Soares De Alberga Ferreira (52)
Group CEO
Jorge was appointed as CEO of Mvelaserve in 2009. He founded Protea Security Services in 1982, where he held the positions of managing director and later CEO when Protea Security merged with Coin Security in 2007. During this time he completed an executive development programme at the University of the Witwatersrand.

 

Gilbert Ernst Röth (53)
CFO

CA(SA), Post-graduate Certificate in Advanced Tax (Unisa)
Ernst was appointed CFO of Mvelaserve on listing in November 2010. He had formerly served on the board of directors and as CFO of Mvelaphanda Group since 2007. Prior to joining Mvelaphanda Group he held various positions in the banking, financial services/consulting and biochemical industries and has also worked in the office of the Auditor General of South Africa.

Oyama Andrew Mabandla (47)
Lead Independent Non-executive Director

BA (University of California), Juris Doctor from Columbia University
Oyama is past chairman of Vodacom Group Limited, is a member of the JP Morgan Advisory Board and Executive Chairman of Langa Lokulunga Investment Holdings (Pty) Limited, an investment holding company. He has held various positions within legal and investment banking profession and was previously Deputy Chief Executive Officer of South African Airways.

 

Sibongile Masinga (43)
BCom, USA-SA Leadership and Entrepreneurship Programme (Wharton School of Business)
Bongi is the chief executive and one of the founding members of the Afropulse Group. Prior to this she was the chief operating officer and head of Corporate Advisory at Africa Vukani Investments. She has held various executive positions in financial services (including at DBSA and Gensec). She also gained merchant banking experience with Hill Samuel in London.

 

Nozuko Mbalula (32)
Diploma in Human Resources Management and a Higher Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications
Nozuko has been with the Jupiter Drawing Room since 2007.  Prior to that she worked at the South African Broadcasting Corporation from 2004, and before that at FCB Johnson.

 

Flora Nolwandle Mantashe (49)

Nolwandle has been at Pretoria Portland Cement Limited since 2008, where she serves as the Transformation Executive. Previously she worked at Goldfields.  

 

Gary David Harlow (53)
CA(SA), Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (UK), Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK)
Gary has been the CEO of Unihold Limited since 1996.  He has served on numerous private and public company boards. He was the advisor to the finance department of the African National Congress in the early 1990s, specifically involved in developing BEE policy. In 1992 he played an instrumental role in the formation of Thebe Investment Corporation and has also served as joint chief executive of Msele Corporate and Merchant Bank.
